Then the rains moved in…

This is just the latest in a series of freak weather incidents…  CUMBRIA & LANCASHIRE councils in England had to be named and shamed for providing NO EMERGENCY HELP for flood victims in the autumn of 2015…  Similarly, in the Horn of Africa, and South Africa, there is little or no help for people who have lost everything due to freak droughts…  Now, today, floodwaters in Paris continue to threaten the centre of Europe, with many villages in Bavaria covered in sludge and mud.

The world-famous Louvre and Orsay museums have been closed so staff can move priceless artworks to safety. At least 15 people in southern Germany have been killed.  More European monsoons are forecast for the weekend across a band of central Europe from France to Ukraine.  Belgium, Austria, the Netherlands and Poland have also been affected.  Thousands of people have been forced from their homes.  Paris is a wasteland, with roads un-drivable – not a single medical helicopter in sight – the people have been abandoned.
